What IS MICRONEEDLING?
Microneedling (otherwise known as Collagen Induction Therapy), is a cosmetic procedure in which hundreds of needles are inserted into the surface of the skin through rolling (or stamping by a medical aesthetician). It then creates microscopic 'wounds' which stimulates the production of Collagen and Elastin. This is important as collagen is the most abundant protein found in our body and it is responsible for holding together the connective tissues such as skin, muscles, tendons, cartilage and bones. It also what keeps us youthful looking. Since Collagen is so important, we want to continue the production of it in our skin as the production naturally slows down by 1% every year after the age of 20, which attributes to aging of the skin.

REAL NEEDLES VS DISC NEEDLES
Many companies offer a 540 needle roller, which at first glance appears more attractive. It is important to note a distinguishing feature: our Microneedle Roller System is comprised of 200 authentic needles rather than a disc with triangle points around the circumference as the 540 needle rollers have.
To work effectively, the 540 needle rollers need two times the pressure while rolling on the skin compared to our 200 Needle Microneedle Roller System. In doing so, this can cause injury or scarring as the base of the ‘needles’ are wider than the point, which could cut open the skin, as opposed to puncturing it.
Our System uses 200 Real Needles which puncture the skin efficiently and effectively, without the concern of scarring or damaging the skin.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Damaged skin through the use of a Microneedle Roller System.
2. The roller induces collagen production in the dermis. The damaged skin gradually improves.
3. After many treatments, the new collagen restores the skin and reduces skin imperfections.
4. This results in reduction of pore size, fine lines, wrinkles, smoother skin and much more.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Use the roller 2-3 times a week in the evening. Wash your face prior to using the roller as it prevents the penetration of bacteria.

Hold the roller lightly and roll with slight pressure in all directions over the face and neck. In other words, roll horizontally, vertically and diagonally across the skin.

Lightly stretch the skin using your fingers in order to optimally reach smaller wrinkles and hard-to-reach places.

Apply a suitable skin care product,such as one of our Skinprovement Organics serums with hyaluronic acid to nourish and hydrate your skin.
