Hey there!
My name is Ashley, and I’d like to share with you on how Skinprovement came to be, why I’m so passionate about this business, and how I would love to have like minded individuals join me on this journey.
When I was seven years of age, my late mother would take me to her electrolysis appointments, and it was then that my yearning for the aesthetic industry began. I was mesmerized by all the machines, sounds, lotions and potions. This sparked my interest to play ‘spa’ with my babysitter, pretending to perform treatments.
After graduating from high school, I knew exactly what I needed to do in order to build the foundation of my goal, owning a spa. I enrolled in a two-year aesthetic program at Sheridan College, in which I ended up teaching shortly after I graduated. I continued my training as a medical aesthetician, which led me to manage the first Men’s clinic in Canada.
As I began my suburban journey as a wife and a mother in my early twenties, I decided to take a chance and purchase my first laser equipment while pregnant with my second child! And just like that, Skinprovement Inc. was born. Things were moving fast, and I needed to hire more staff. As the local community began learning more about Skinprovement and what it offered, so did the competition. Unfortunately, because of this, phone calls were made to the city to close operations of my at-home business.
This is when I made the biggest decision of my life, and decided that I wouldn’t let others dictate my life or the future of Skinprovement. I moved my at-home business to a store-front location in just a few short months.
I am thankful for the support from the community, as it helped in the success of Skinprovement. To date, we have been honoured with two awards at the Vaughan Business Achievement Awards, among others from various organizations as this business continues to grow.
I am pleased to announce that Skinprovement is now available for franchising. I know that there are many amazing like-minded individuals that have the determination and drive that can make their own Skinprovement another success story. Join me in continuing this journey as we continue to build brand recognition and become one of Canada’’s leading medi spa.
