GIVING BACK

Supporting Vaughan's First Smart HospitAL

Skinprovement believes in giving back to the community we call home, where we raise our families and where our business thrives.  As skin care specialists, we have the privilege of helping our valued clients to look and feel their best. As civic-minded citizens, we aspire to helping enrich the well-being of our community by ensuring the very best possible health care is available when it’s needed the most. That’s why we proudly pledged our support to Mackenzie Health Foundation’s 'Exceptional Care Belongs Here' campaign to help build the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital. Our pledge of $150,000 will support one of three Pediatric Exam Rooms in the future Magna Emergency at the new hospital, which will help ensure the best outcomes for young patients and their families.

On a more personal level, as a mother to three beautiful, healthy children, Mackenzie Health’s plans to care for kids of all ages in an emergency situation, inspires me. We’re proud to play a role in ensuring our youngest members of the community are in the best hands at the future Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital.

BROWS FOR THE BRAVE

Skinprovement gives back to the community that has supported the growth of its business. Many are suffering, or have loved ones suffering, whether from cancer or other illnesses, and we would like to help build confidence for those brave individuals. Our initiative, Brows for The Brave, is aimed to help build confidence of women or men by giving them eyebrows, through the technique of microblading, otherwise known as feathering, which is a semi-permanent makeup to create eyebrows. We have been performing over $15,000 a year worth of microblading treatments to those suffering from cancer, various illnesses, or trauma.

TESTIMONIALS

“I had breast cancer treatments in 2010 and have since recovered. I was researching to have Microblading for my eyebrows and found Ashley Perri. She fully explained the procedure and she reassured me of all my questions. She is a remarkable young woman who offered me the opportunity of Brows for the Brave. Here I was inquiring about costs and she simply eased me into the fact that it would be complementary. After 8 years, I felt it was a humble offering that I would never have imagined such a wonderful gracious gesture given to me. It has been an experience of a lifetime that I will keep close and dear to my heart. I feel like a brand new woman, she has made me feel beautiful! Thank you Ashley, from the bottom of my heart!”

- Luisa B

“I recently had microblading done at Skinprovement and am very happy with the result. As a childhood cancer survivor I have always been self conscious about my eyebrows. After radiation treatments, my eyebrows never grew back and I have always pencilled them in. This has always made me self conscious. After having the microblading done it has given me a well needed boost in self confidence. Brows for the Brave is great program to boost ones self image after an illness.”

- Rebecca S.

“Thank goodness for the “Brows for the Brave” program at Skinprovement. Ashley and her team made me feel good about myself again after two rounds of Chemotherapy left me with hardly any brows. I have no words to express what this gesture meant to me.”

- Silvana D.

“After being diagnosed and surviving Breast Cancer one of the hardest things was the reminder of it everyday when looking in the mirror and having no eyebrows. Brows for the Brave gave me confidence I once had by offering this program. Words can not thank them enough for helping me return to the women I once was.”

- Ana Maria A.

“Thank you to Skinprovement for providing this service. Brows for the Brave has helped me restore my confidence and retain my identity.  Looking in the mirror and having eyebrows has brought a sense of comfort within myself.”

- Mary D.

MACKENZIE HEALTH'S EMERGING LEADER

Ashley Perri was honoured to be part of Mackenzie Health‘s Emerging Leaders Council comprised of community-minded professionals coming together to support Canada’s first Smart Hospital.
.
Over this past month, Mackenzie Health has begun their #theultimatesuitsyou campaign and they asked me, among other professionals, to be part of this venture. When I found out about this, I was very excited to be helping one of my favourite foundations knowing the impact it will have in this community.

Skinprovement Gives Back
