Ashley Perri's Feature in City Life Magazine

In City Life Magazine's most recent publication (March/April 2021), Ashley Perri, owner of Skinprovement Medi Spa & Laser Clinic was featured in their article titled Monopoly And Business: How Small Business Owners have been dealt with a Losing Hand during Covid-19 Shutdowns. Ashley has been a big advocate for the skin care industry in showcasing how small businesses, especially in personal care, have been disproportionately affected by the government restrictions.

“Skin-care treatments generate approximately 80 percent of our total revenue,” says Ashley Perri, owner of Skinprovement Medi Spa & Laser Clinic. “When the initial shutdown occurred, we pivoted our business and pushed forward with an e-commerce website to continue generating revenue through product sales. But the government’s staged approach disproportionately affected our business, as we had to wait until July before being able to offer treatments without face coverings. It is even more frustrating given the fact that skin-care clinics are known for adhering to very strict protocols in sanitation, even prior to the pandemic.”

Ashley continues to advocate for small businesses, especially in the personal care sector, which is 81% female led.
